During 2012, The Anticoagulation Forum Board of Directors met to formulate and structure a new resource for its members. It was determined that an online resource that could measure and depict excellence for anticoagulation care was needed, and development of the Anticoagulation Centers of Excellence (ACE) began.
Launched in December 2012, the ACE website, resource library and assessment have been continually updated including ongoing review of tools, modifications to the assessment and new features that enhance visibility for our ACE recognized practices.
More than 175 practices have received recognition since inception of the program and the resource library has grown significantly. The ACE team has authored more than a dozen Rapid Resources and maintains a robust Clinical FAQ section. In addition, our curated literature search serves to keep members updated on the latest practice changing articles. The success of this program is due in large part to our multidisciplinary team of colleagues from around the country who continue to be the thought leaders for ACE. We applaud this talented team and thank them for their vision, tenacity and insight.
